On Monday, February 3, 2020, police investigated a call for a Child Sexual Assault in the Lawrence Avenue and Kingston Road area.
It is alleged that:
- a girl was sexually assaulted by a man working as painter/contractor at an apartment building in the Lawrence Avenue East and Kingston Road area
Joini Hodas, 50, was arrested. He was charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
2) Sexual Interference
3) Criminal Harassment by Watching and Besetting
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Friday, March 27, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. room 407.
He is also known to have worked at various similar buildings in the Toronto and Sarnia areas, including:
- St. Clair Avenue West and Spadina Road, Toronto, ON
- Dixon Road and Kipling Avenue, Toronto, ON
- Confederation Street and Indian Road South, Sarnia ON
Anyone with any information, or who has been a victim of sexual assault, is urged to contact police.

The CYAC was opened in October 2013 and is comprised of specialized child abuse investigators from the Toronto Police Service, in collaboration with members of the Catholic Children's Aid Society, the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, the Hospital for Sick Children's Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program (SCAN), Radius Child & Youth Services, and Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.
