The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.

On Thursday, May 14, at 2:07 a.m., police responded to a fire radio call in the Balliol Street and Yonge Street area.

It is reported:

- there was a fire in the building's laundry room area

- a man was located with obvious signs of trauma

- the man was pronounced deceased

Homicide investigators are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket with red and black checkered pajamas.

His photograph has been released. If seen, do not approach, immediately contact 911.
