On Thursday, May 14, 2020, Chief Mark Saunders announced the arrests of four men as part of an ongoing investigation into the March 2020 abduction of a 14-year-old boy. The Service also published the image and name of a fifth man wanted in the matter.

Following the announcement, the fifth man turned himself in to police at 31 Division.
Solaiman Nassimi, 29, of No Fixed Address, has been charged with:
1. Kidnapping for Ransom
2. Forcible Confinement
3. Break and Enter with Intent
4. Uttering Threats (Bodily Harm)
5. Uttering Threats (Death)
He is next scheduled to appear in court, at 1000 Finch Avenue West, Room 301, on Friday, May 15, 2020.
Court dates for the other arrested parties are as follows:
Samir Abdelgadir is scheduled to appear at 1000 Finch Avenue West, Room 301, on Friday, May 15, 2020.
Liban Hussein and Hamed Shahnawaz are scheduled to appear at 1000 Finch Avenue West, Room 301, on Tuesday, May 19, 2020
Scott McManus is schedule to appear in court, at 1000 Finch Avenue West, Room 301, on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
