Three Men Arrested for Retail Robbery,
Warden Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East area,
Total of 42 charges laid

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of three men arrested in relation to a retail robbery.

It is alleged that:

- on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, a robbery was committed at an auto dealership in the Warden Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East area

- three men attended the dealership in response to an online ad for the sale of a car

- at the time they were driving a stolen car (2016 Acura)

- the victim came out with the keys to the advertised car - a 2018 Mercedes Benz -when two masked suspects approached the victim aggressively

- one suspect pulled a handgun, pointed it at the victim and demanded the car keys and his cellphone

- the two suspects got in the Mercedes Benz and drove off, followed by the third suspect in the Acura

- the stolen car had a GPS tracking device that TPS officers were able to follow into Mississauga

- Peel Regional Police was notified and were able to assist in further tracking the car

- both cars were located at a Mississauga address where all three suspects were arrested

- during the arrest an officer suffered minor injuries

It is further alleged that:

- a fully loaded handgun was recovered along with the victim's cellphone and clothing used in the robbery

Dylan Getten, 18, Mory Kone, 19, and J’aheim Webbe-Wong, 19, all from Toronto, were each charged with:

7. Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime C.C.354(1)
8. Possession Of A Loaded Restricted Firearm C.C. 95(1)
9. Unauthorized Possession Of A Firearm C.C. 91(1)
10. Unauthorized Possession Of A Firearm In A Motor Vehicle C.C. 94(1)
11. Careless Storage Of A Firearm C.C. 86(1)
12. Possession Of A Firearm Obtained By Crime C.C. 96(1)
13. Possession Of A Firearm Knowing Its Possession Unauthorized C.C. 92(1)

Dylan Getten, 18, was further charged with:
1. Fail To Comply Recognizance C.C 145(5)(A)

Mory Kone, 19, was further charged with:
1. two counts of Fail To Comply Recognizance C.C 145(5)(A)

All three men were scheduled for court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at 10 a.m., room 412.
