Two Gunpoint Robberies in the Toronto area,

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad is requesting the public's assistance in locating a man wanted in relation to two gunpoint robberies in the Toronto area.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, May 29, 2020, a man found and contacted a sex trade worker through an internet ad

- he met with her on several occasions and paid for her services

- on their final meeting he pulled a firearm and robbed the 18-year-old of cash at gunpoint

- he then fled the property

- no injuries were sustained


It is further alleged that:

- on Sunday, May 31, 2020, the same man attended a hotel to meet with sex trade workers who know him as a client

- once inside the room, the man pulled a firearm out and robbed two women - aged 20 and 19 - of cash at gunpoint

- he then fled the area

- no injuries were sustained

Benhur Wolday, 27, is wanted for:

1) Robbery
2) Home Invasion with a Weapon
3) Robbery with a Firearm

He is described as 5'8" with a medium build.

His photograph has been released.
