Men Arrested For Multiple Firearms Offences,
York Street And Lakeshore Boulevard West Area,
Brandon Hill, 31 &Tyler James, 32

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests as part of a firearms investigation.

On Sunday, June 7, 2020, at approximately 4:31 a.m. police responded to a person with a gun call in the York Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West area.

It is alleged:

- as a result of the investigation, search warrants were authorized and executed at premises

- a further search warrant was executed on a vehicle

- two men were arrested


Brandon Hill, 31, of Toronto has been charged with:

1. Point a firearm
2. Forcible Confinement
3. Five counts of Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
4. Four counts of Possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
5. Mischief Under $5000
6. Assault
7. Two counts of Assault by Choking
8. Uttering Threats
9. Two counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
10. Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
11. Two counts of Careless Storage of a firearm
12. Two counts of Careless Storage of ammunition

Tyler James, 32, of Toronto is charged with:

1. Ten counts of Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
2. Ten counts of Possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
9. Two counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm
10. Two counts of Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
11. Two counts of Careless Storage of a firearm
12. Two counts of Careless Storage of ammunition

Both are scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Friday, June 12, 2020, at 10 a.m.
