Professional Standards

A Toronto Police Service officer has been arrested and charged.

It is alleged:

- between September 12, 2019 and October 7, 2019, a Toronto Police Service radio was stolen

- an investigation was launched by the Service's Professional Standards unit

On Monday, June 15, 2020, Constable Ronald Joseph, 47, of 22 Division, was arrested and charged with:

1. Breach of Trust
2. Theft Over

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11 am at Old City Hall.

Constable Ronald Joseph has 11 years of service and is currently suspended with pay as per the Police Services Act.
