The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of several arrests in a shooting investigation.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at approximately 12:20 a.m., the Toronto Police Service responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding reports of gunfire in the area of Jane Street and Grandravine Drive.

It is alleged that:

- officers attended the area and located two shooting scenes, which contained a total of 25 shell casings

- the shooting occurred after a white SUV, travelling southbound on Grandravine Drive, began shooting into a crowd that had gathered in the parking lot of 279 Grandravine Drive

- multiple people in the crowd responded to the gunfire by drawing their own handguns and returned fire towards the SUV

- the SUV then fled the area

- two men involved in the shooting were identified and arrested. As police made the arrest, the officers were swarmed by bystanders in the area

The Emergency Task Force, the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force, and officers from 31 Division, conducted search warrants on three residences in the area. It is further alleged that two semi-automatic 9mm handguns and ammunition were located.
