On Tuesday, July 14 2020, at 12:37 a.m., police received a report of a collision on the westbound Fred Gardiner Expressway at the South Kingsway and Lake Shore Boulevard West ramp area.
It is reported that:
- a 34-year-old man was operating a Suzuki motorcycle, westbound on the Fred Gardiner Expressway, possibly in a group of other motorcycle riders
- for unknown reasons, the motorcycle came into contact with another westbound vehicle, causing the man to be ejected from the motorcycle
- he sustained life-threatening injuries as a result
Traffic Services is investigating this collision and looking to identify the other driver and vehicle involved. This driver would have been aware of the collision.
Additionally, investigators are seeking to identify witnesses or the other motorcycle riders that may be able to provide information.
Police are asking any drivers, who may have been in the area, to contact investigators.
Drivers or residents with security or dash-camera footage prior to or after the collision, would be especially beneficial.
