The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating an elopee.

Taha Ereken, 29, was last seen on Monday, July 20, 2020, at 9 a.m., in the Jane Street and Emmet Avenue area.

He is described as 5'6", 185 lbs., medium build, fair complexion, with short black hair, and brown eyes.

He is currently bound by a Form 49 "Warrant of Committal."

On August 19, 2014, he was found Not Criminally Responsible for charges of Assault and Forcible Confinement.

An elopee is a person who is subject to detention at a psychiatric facility and is absent without leave.

A Warrant of Committal is issued by the Ontario Review Board when a person is found Not Criminally Responsible in court. The Warrant of Committal "Disposition of Detention" commits the person to the custody of a provincial psychiatric hospital and subjects them to abide by certain conditions.
