Home Invasion Robbery and Shooting Investigation,
Video and Artist's Rendition Released

The Toronto Police Service Hold-Up Squad would like to advise the public of an on-going investigation.

On Sunday, July 26, 2020 at approximately 1:47 a.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for a shooting in the Dawes Road and Halsey Avenue area.

It is reported:

- at least four armed suspects attended a residential address in the area

- the armed suspects forced entry into the residence and made a demand for cash

- they opened fire on two victims in the residence

- the victims were struck multiple times

- the armed suspects fled the residence on foot and in a white Dodge Ram pickup parked on Halsey Avenue

- they were last seen travelling south bound on Dawes Road

- the two victims remain in hospital and have life-altering injuries

The suspects are described as:

1. He is white, 5'8" to 6'0", thin build, possibly has long hair tied back. He was wearing a grey hooded sweater with a blue hood and arms, blue jogging pants and dark shoes.

2. She is described as 20, brown, 5'8" to 6'0", heavy build. She was wearing a grey hooded sweater with 'Jumpman' logo, blue tights and dark shoes.

3. He is described as 5'8" to 6'0", heavy build. He was wearing a grey sweater with a blue design on the front, dark blue pants and dark shoes.

4. He is described as 5'8" to 6'0", thin build. He was wearing a black Adidas hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes.

They were in a newer model Dodge Ram with black rims and a black truck bed liner.

Further investigation revealed that one of the victims had been previously targeted in a shooting. Detectives believe the shooting may be linked to the home invasion, possibly involving the same suspects.

The Toronto Police Service were called to the area of Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at 5:38 p.m.

It is reported:

- at least two armed suspects confronted the two victims

- the armed suspects opened fire on the victims

- the victims were struck multiple times

- the armed suspects fled the area on foot

- the two victims were transported to a hospital nearby where they received treatment for their non-life threatening injuries

The suspects are described as:

1. He is described as tanned, approximately 20, 5'10" to 6'0", thin build, long braided hair. He was wearing a black Adidas jacket with three white stripes down the arm and dark pants.

2. He is described as black, 5'4" to 5'6", 200 lbs. He was wearing all black clothing. An artist's rendition has been released of this suspect.

3. She is described as 20 years old, brown, 5'8" to 6'0". She was wearing a dark fitted hooded sweater, black tights and dark shoes.

Anyone who recognizes the people in the video, their descriptions, or the artist's rendition are urged to come forward to police.
