Man charged in historical Sexual Assault investigation,
David Ronald Stanford, 72, facing three charges

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest in a historical sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- between the summer of 1973 to the summer of 1983, a man sexually assaulted a student after school
- the student was between the age of 9 and 18 at the time of the alleged assaults
On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, David Ronald Stanford 72, of Toronto, was arrested.
He was charged with:
1. Indecent Assault on Male
He is scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 2 p.m., room 505.
David Ronald Stanford was an employee of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), working as a teacher at Williamson Road Junior Public School at the time of the alleged assaults. He is presently retired from the TDSB.
