Traffic Incident,
Yonge Street and Merton Street area

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public about a traffic incident.

On Tuesday August 24, 2020, at 7:15 p.m., police received a report of a man and a bicycle found just off the roadway in the Yonge Street and Merton Street area.

It is reported that:

- a 37-year-old man was found on the ground unconscious off the roadway on Yonge Street, just south of Merton Street, along with a bicycle

- he was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital in serious condition and remains unconscious at this time

There is no evidence, at this time, that this was a collision but officers from Traffic Services continue to investigate and urge witnesses to come forward.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
