The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an arson investigation.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at approximately 6: 45 a.m. police responded to a fire in the Gerrard Street East and Woodfield Road area.

It is reported that:

- a garage was on fire in the area of Gerrard Street East and Woodfield Road

- a person was seen leaving the scene. They fled the area before police arrived

- the person was seen on security cameras in the area

- no one was injured

Security images have been released.

The suspect is described as a woman, approximately 55-65 years old, brown hair in a bun, wearing a long red shirt, grey pants and pink Crocs shoes. She also had a light coloured shirt tied around her waist and was carrying several bags.
