Arrest made in Sexual Assault Investigation,
Bloor Street West and Dufferin Street area,
Giovanni Broglio, 63

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a sexual assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, January 31, 2020, a woman in her 20s was in the area of Bloor Street West and Dufferin Street area.

- a man approached the woman and sexually assaulted her

- on Saturday, February 1, 2020, the same woman was in the Bloor Street West and Dufferin area, and was sexually assaulted again by the same man

On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, Giovanni Broglio, 63, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:

1. two counts of Sexual Assault
2. Criminal Harassment

He is scheduled to appear at court on Monday, October 26, 2020, at Old City Hall, at 11 a.m., in room 111.
