Man Arrested for Retail Robbery and Bank Robbery,
Rahjon Ceballo, 19

The Toronto Police Service Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in relation to a retail robbery that occurred on Sunday, January 12, 2019 in the Caledonia Road and Rogers Road area and a bank robbery that occurred on August 3, 2019 in the Caledonia Road and Eglinton Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

- two men entered the store wearing masks and armed with a knife

- one man remained at the door as a lookout while the man with the knife approached the counter demanding cash

- the victim, fearing for their safety, handed over a quantity of cash while pulling out a can of bear spray

- the victim was able to spray the two suspects in the face before they escaped

It is further alleged that:

- on Monday, August 3, 2019, four masked men entered a bank while a fourth suspect remained outside in a waiting cab as a lookout

- the men jumped the counter and aggressively began taking cash from the drawers

- the men then fled to the waiting cab

Through investigation and assistance from the public three suspects were identified. Three suspects were previously arrested and on Saturday, September 12, 2020, a final suspect was located and taken into custody.


Rahjon Ceballo, 19, of Toronto, was arrested and has been charged with:

1. two counts of Robbery
2. two counts of Have Face Masked/Disguised
3. two counts of Conspiracy To Commit An Indictable Offence
4. Possess Weapon, Etc./Dangerous To Public Peace

He was scheduled to appear at court on Monday, September 14, 2020, at 10 a.m. at 1000 Finch Avenue West, room 306.
