Arrests made in three Retail Robbery investigations,
17-year-old boy facing 12 charges,
Brandon Francis Graves, 20, facing five charges

Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of two arrests as part of three retail robbery investigations in the Scarborough area.

It is alleged that:

- on Friday, November 6, 2020, at approximately 12:10 a.m., a retail robbery was committed in the Kingston Road and Pine Ridge Drive area

- a lone suspect entered the premises while attempting to disguise his identity

- he was armed with a knife and made a demand for cash and cigarettes

- the suspect took a quantity of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot

- officers responding to the robbery scene located the suspect and placed him under arrest. The suspect had property taken from the robbery in his possession

It is further alleged:

- on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a retail robbery was committed in the Kingston Road and Ravine Drive area

- a lone suspect entered the premises while attempting to disguise his identity

- the suspect was armed with a knife and made a demand for cash and cigarettes

- the suspect took a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene on foot

- members of the Hold Up Squad determined that the suspect who was arrested on Friday, November 6, 2020, was also responsible for this robbery. He was located and placed under arrest

A search warrant was executed where officers recovered the clothes worn by the suspect during the robbery from November 5, 2020.

It is further alleged:

- on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at approximately 9:52 p.m., a retail robbery was committed in Kingston Road and Asterfield Drive area

- two suspects entered the premises while attempting to disguise their identities

- one suspect was armed with a knife

- the suspects took cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot

- officers responding to the scene located one of the suspects and placed him under arrest - the same suspect previously arrested and responsible for robberies on Thursday, November 5, 2020 and Friday, November 6, 2020

- members of the Hold Up Squad determined the identity of the second suspect who was located and arrested

- at the time of their arrests both suspects had property from the robbery on November 11, 2020

A 17-year-old boy, of Toronto, is facing the following 12 charges:

1. three counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. three counts of Disguise with Intent
3. three counts of Possession of Weapon
4. Possession Property Obtained by Crime, Under $5000.00
5. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
6. Fail to Comply with Release Order

He appeared in court on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 10 a.m., at Toronto East Court, 1911 Eglinton Avenue, Room 408.

Brandon Francis Graves, 20, of Toronto is facing the following five charges:
1. Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. Disguise with Intent
3. Possession of Weapon
4. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
5. Possession Property Obtained by Crime, Under $5000.00

He appeared in court on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 10 a.m., at Toronto East Court, 1911 Eglinton Avenue, Room 412.
