Arrest made in Firearms Investigation,
Fenelon Drive and Graydon Hall Drive area,
2 men face a total of 17 charges

The Toronto Police would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a firearms investigation.

On Monday, November 2, 2020 , at 8:30 p.m., the Toronto Police Service received a call for Sounds of Gunshots in the Fenelon Drive and Graydon Hall Drive area.

It is alleged that:

- officers arrived on scene and located a vehicle involved in the shooting

- officers followed the vehicle as it fled and it was abandoned a short distance away

- a Norinco assault rifle was located in the abandoned vehicle with two fully loaded magazines

On Saturday, November 14, 2020, the Central North District- Major Crime Unit, executed search warrants at two residences in the Don Mills Road and Graydon Hall Drive area.

During a search of one of the residences, it is alleged that:

- officers located a .40 caliber Sig Sauer semi-automatic handgun with ammunition and a laser attachment.The firearm was stored in an unsafe manner, fully loaded and readily accessible to a child.

Nicholas Juman, 19, of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possess Prohibited Weapon knowing no Authority
2. Possess Prohibited Device knowing no Authority
3. Possess Prohibited Firearm without Holding a License and Registration Certificate
4. Store Firearm Carelessly
5. Store ammunition carelessly
6. Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm
7. Possess Unloaded Regulated Firearm
8. Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime
9. Possess Weapon for dangerous Purpose
10. Knowingly Transfer Prohibited Weapon
11. Knowingly Possess Prohibited Weapon for Transfer

Estime Ndayihezagiye, 18 of Toronto, is charged with:

1. Possess Prohibited Weapon knowing no Authority
2. Possess Prohibited Device knowing no Authority
3. Possess Prohibited Firearm without Holding a License and Registration Certificate
4. Two counts of Store Firearm Carelessly
5. Two counts of Store ammunition carelessly
6. Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm
7. Possess Unloaded Regulated Firearm
8. Two counts of Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime
9. Two counts of Possess Weapon for dangerous Purpose
10. Knowingly Transfer Prohibited Weapon
11. Knowingly Possess Prohibited Weapon for Transfer
12. Possess Restricted Weapon knowing no Authority
13. Possess Restricted Firearm without Holding a License and Registration Certificate

They are scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2 p.m., at 1000 Finch Avenue West, Room 301.
