The Toronto Police Service's Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of two arrests in relation to a retail robbery.

On Friday, November 13, 2020, police responded to reports of a robbery in the Queen Street West and Bathurst Street area.

It is alleged that:

- a man and woman entered a store and began concealing merchandise

- they attempted to leave when they were confronted and a struggle took place

- the man took out an imitation handgun that broke during the fight

- the man then ran to the second floor and escaped through a window

- the woman was held at the scene until police arrived and took her into custody


It is further alleged that:

- the man was quickly located on a rooftop in the area

- he attempted to flee, jumping from roof to roof

- he was helped safely to street level where he was taken into custody


Shadoe Moore, 30, and Vanessa Kittiekaywinnie, 34, both of no fixed address, were arrested and each charged with:

1. Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2. Use Imitation Firearm to Commit and Indictable Offence
3. Weapons Dangerous
4. two counts of Fail to Comply Probation
5. Fail to Comply Probation
6. Breach of Recognizance

Moore was charged with an additional charge of Fail to Comply Probation.

They both appeared in court at Old City Hall on Saturday, November 14, 2020, 10 a.m., room 114.
