Boy arrested in shooting investigation,
Dixington Parkette area

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a shooting investigation.

On Friday, April 17, 2020, at approximately 1:03 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the Dixington Parkette area.

It is alleged that:

- a group of people where in the area of the Dixington Parkette and got into a white vehicle

- a 16-year-old boy was seen to get into the driver’s seat and they all left area in the vehicle

- the same group of people arrived a short time later near the Driftwood Parkette in the same vehicle

- multiple rounds were fired into a parking lot

- they then returned to Dixington Parkette area and while standing outside the vehicle, a 16-year-old boy shot a 22-year-old man multiple times

- the 22-year-old man was transported to a local trauma centre

- his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Through investigation, members of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force – Centralized Shooting Response Team identified the 16-year-old who was arrested on Monday, November 16, 2020.

He has been charged with:

1. Attempt Murder
2. Occupy Motor Vehicle With Firearm
3. Possess Restricted Firearm Without Holding a License
4. Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
5. Careless Use of a Firearm
6. Possess Firearm While Prohibited

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 10 a.m., at Toronto West Courts, 2201 Finch Avenue West, Room 206
