The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in a violent robbery.

On Sunday, November 8, 2020, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a call for a robbery in the Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road area.

It is alleged that:

- a 61-year-old man was walking when he was approached by an unknown suspect

- the suspect struck the man on the head multiple times

- the 61-year-old man fell onto the roadway

- he suffered a severe head injury and a broken shoulder

- the suspect fled on a bicycle

The suspect has been identified as Shawn Claydon, 32, of Toronto. He is wanted for:

1) Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
2) Aggravated Assault
3) five counts of Use Credit Card Obtained by Crime
4) Theft Under $5000
5) Fail to Comply with Release Order

He is believed to be violent. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

A picture of him has been released.
