The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an ongoing Financial Crimes Fraud investigation.

This investigation - dubbed Project Cosmo - has spanned over a year and three people were previously arrested and charged.

Earlier this year, officers in the Toronto Police Financial Crimes Unit – Corporate Crimes Section conducted an investigation into a cosmetic ponzi scheme targeting the Filipino community in North York and the Greater Toronto Area.

That investigation focused on several fraudulent Canadian business transactions.

The companies allegedly involved are named as:

Mac Glamour Ltd.

Infy Trading Incorporated

B + E Investments


On Friday, December 18, 2020, investigators requested assistance identify two women and a news release was issued.

Person of Interest # 1 was spoken to by investigators and she has since been eliminated from their inquiries.

The media are asked to remove her image.

The investigation remains ongoing and officers are still hoping to identify the other woman.

She is described as 28-30 and spoke English.

A security camera image has been re-released of Person of Interest # 2.
