Three Men and a boy arrested in Armoured Car Robbery, Bank Robbery and Stolen Vehicle offences,
Toronto, Waterloo and Drumbo areas

Four arrests have been made in connection with an armoured car robbery, a bank robbery and numerous stolen vehicle offences.

Between Thursday, January 19, 2021 and Saturday, February 13, 2021, the incidents took place in the cities of Toronto, Waterloo and Drumbo.

It is alleged that:

- on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, three masked male suspects, armed with guns and a large knife, entered a bank in Drumbo, Ontario

- they pointed guns at victims while a fourth suspect waited in a stolen getaway vehicle close by

- the suspects used threats and demanded cash

- once cash was handed over, they fled the area in their getaway vehicle


It is further alleged:

- on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, three masked male suspects ambushed two armoured car guards as they came out of a bank in the Morningside Avenue and Milner Avenue area

- one guard was able to lock himself in the truck while the other was disarmed and held at gun-point outside

- they demanded cash from the guard inside the truck

- once they realized an alarm was triggered, they fled to their stolen vehicle taking the guard's gun with them


The Toronto Police Hold Up Squad began a joint investigation with Waterloo Regional Police Service - Property and Financial Crime Section's Robbery Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police that led to identifying the alleged people involved.

On Saturday, February 13, 2021, the group was arrested in an alleged stolen vehicle in Toronto. Six search warrants were executed with the help of Waterloo and Toronto's 11, 42 and 43 Divisions.

It is further alleged that:

- evidence related to the offences was recovered as well as a replica handgun, a loaded semi-automatic assault rifle and cash

- through investigation and assistance from the OPP, the guard's stolen firearm was recovered in the Toronto area


Shahroze Raja, 18, of Kitchener, was arrested and charged with:

1. Three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. Two counts of Disguise with intent
3. Point Firearm
4. Two counts of Threaten Death
5. Weapons Dangerous
6. Two counts of Conspiracy To Commit an Indictable Offence
7. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
8. Possession Of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
9. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
10. Careless Use of a Firearm- Transport
11. Two counts of Possession Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
12. Five counts of Possession Of Property obtained by Crime under
13. Two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order


Ismael Isse, 18, of Kitchener, was arrested and charged with:

1. Two counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. Disguise with intent
3. Point Firearm
4. Threaten Death
5. Weapons dangerous
6. Conspiracy To Commit an Indictable offence
7. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
8. Possession Of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
9. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
10. Careless Use of a Firearm- Transport
11. Possession Contrary to Prohibition Order
12. Three counts of Possession Of Property obtained by Crime under
13. Two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order


Imran Kayani, 22, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with:

1. Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable offence


A boy, 17, of Kitchener, was arrested and charged with:

1. Three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. Two counts of Disguise with intent
3. Point Firearm
4. Two counts of Threaten Death
5. Weapons dangerous
6. Two counts of Conspiracy To Commit an Indictable offence
7. Two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
8. Possession Of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
9. Two counts of Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
10. Careless Use of a Firearm- Transport
11. Three counts of Possession Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
12. Possession of a loaded Prohibited Firearm
13. Possession of a Firearm with seral number altered
14. Careless storage of a Firearm
15. Careless storage of ammunition
16. Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000
17. Five counts of Possession Of Property obtained by Crime under


They all appeared in court at Old City Hall Court, 60 Queen Street West, on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 10 a.m., room 114.
