Homicide, in conjunction with detectives from 51 Division, are conducting a suspicious death investigation.
On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 3:58 a.m., officers attended 291 George Street as part of inquiries into a missing woman.
Investigators now have reason to believe a person has died under suspicious circumstances. Is it not yet known if it is the missing woman police were initially searching for.
A body has not yet been located and investigators continue to carry out inquiries to establish the full circumstances.
They are asking for anyone who may have been in the building or in the area between Friday, February 19, to Sunday, February 21, who may have heard or saw anything suspicious, to contact investigators.
