Six people arrested for a series of Retail Robberies,
Toronto, Peel, York, Burlington and New Tecumseth areas,
Two males wanted

Six arrests have been made as part of a Hold Up Squad-led investigation into eight robberies across Toronto, Peel, York, Halton and Alliston.

It is alleged that:

- between Wednesday, November 4, 2020 and Tuesday, March 9, 2021, a group of males coordinated robberies involving cell phone stores, pharmacies, and retail stores in the Greater Toronto Area

- they used numerous stolen vehicles to travel to and from locations

- they would enter the target locations and use threats, violence and weapons to take over employees

- they would then load up on merchandise and cash before fleeing in their getaway vehicle


The Toronto Police Hold Up Squad, with support from Peel, York, O.P.P. and Halton Police, were able to identify the suspects.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2021, three males were arrested by the Toronto Hold Up Squad.

Jamal Blenman, 19, of Toronto, was charged with:

1. Robbery
2. Disguise with Intent
3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
4. Fail to Comply Probation

A boy, 15 and a boy, 16, both of Brampton, were each charged with:

1. Robbery
2. Disguise with Intent
3. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

All three appeared in court virtually at Toronto West Court – 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 10 a.m., room 206.


On Thursday, March 11, 2021, with the assistance of 23 Division officers from the Major Crime Unit and Community Crime Unit, plus 22 Division's Major Crime Unit, the Emergency Task Force and Peel Regional Police, five criminal code search warrants were executed in both the Toronto and Peel areas.

A boy, 17, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1. seven counts of Robbery
2. four counts of Robbery while Armed with a firearm
3. six counts of Disguise with Intent
4. four counts of Forcible Confinement
5. six counts of Possession or Property Obtained by Crime
6. three counts of Theft of Motor Vehicle
7. Theft of Gas
8. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence
9. 24 counts of Fail to Comply Probation

A boy, 17, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with:

1. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
2. Fail to Comply Probation

Both are scheduled to appeared in court virtually at Toronto West Court – 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 10 a.m., room 206


Also on Thursday, March 11, 2021, a 17-year-old boy, of Brampton, was arrested by Peel Regional Police and was charged. The Toronto Police Service will charge him with the below offences at a later date:

1. three counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. four counts of Robbery
3. three counts of Disguise with Intent
4. Forcible Confinement
5. two counts of Theft of Motor Vehicle
6. four counts of Possession Over $5000

Two males are wanted as part of this large multijurisdictional investigation.

Bobby Osagie, 18, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1. Robbery
2. Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence

A boy, 17, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1. two counts of Robbery with a Firearm
2. two counts of Disguise with Intent
3. two counts of Possession Over $5000
4. two counts of Fail to Comply Probation
