The Toronto Police Service's Hold Up Squad would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a retail robbery investigation.
On Monday, March 22, 2021, a retail store robbery took place in the Dundas Street East and Broadview Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- a woman entered the store and selected several items off the shelves
- the woman started to leave without paying for the items and a store employee approached her
- the woman began to violently assault the employee causing minor injuries
- the woman ripped a necklace off the employee and then fled the scene on foot
Officers from 55 Division quickly arrived on scene and located a woman.
On Monday, March 22, 2021, Tyrell Schultz, 19, of no fixed address, was arrested. She is charged with:
