The Toronto Police Service is informing the public of a fatal collision investigation.

On Friday August 27, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., police received a report of a personal injury collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Queens Quay West.

It is reported that:

- a 31-year-old man was driving a Ford F150 Pickup truck south bound on Bathurst Street

- the driver made a right turn onto west bound Queens Quay West and contact was made with an 89-year-old man

- the man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services. Police are interested in speaking anyone who may have witnessed the collision as well as local residents, businesses or drivers who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident.
