The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public of an arrest made in two sexual assault investigations.

On Monday, August 9, 2021, in the early morning hours, officers began an investigation into a sexual assault in the Marlee Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West area.

It is alleged that:

- a 28-year-old man was invited into an apartment by another man

- he was given an intoxicating substance

- the 28-year-old man was rendered unconscious

- he was sexually assaulted

On Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 5:40 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Marlee Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West area.

It is further alleged that:

- a 23-year-old man was invited into an apartment by another man

- he was given an intoxicating substance

- the 23-year-old man was rendered unconscious

- he was sexually assaulted

Kyle Johansen, 54, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Two counts of Sexual Assault
2) Two counts of Overcome Resistance to Commission of Offence

He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 2 p.m., via video link.

This in an on-going investigation.
