The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest in a series of break and enter investigations.
Between the months of July 2021 and September 2021, police received multiple reports of break and enters into commercial businesses in the area of Keele Street and Rogers Road.
It is alleged that:
- the suspects would break into multiple commercial properties during the early morning hours
- the suspects gained entry into the premises by using force
- once inside, the suspects stole various items
Through a comprehensive investigation, members of the Toronto Police Service’s 12 Division, Major Crime Unit, were able to identify two suspects.
On Sunday, October 3, 2021, Kerry Santos, 53, of Toronto was arrested. He is charged with:
1. Six counts of Break and Enter
3. Six counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order
4. Six counts of Breach of Probation
5. Fail to Attend Court
On Sunday, October 3, 2021, Paolo Rego, 55, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:
1. Break and Enter
They both attended Toronto West Court on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 10 a.m., in room 206
