Traffic Restrictions and Security Enhancements for Toronto Maple Leafs Home Opener,

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of traffic restrictions and security enhancements that will be in place around the Scotiabank Arena from Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 10 p.m., until necessary on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, to accommodate the Toronto Maple Leafs home opener.
Road closures and restrictions are as follows:
- as of Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 10 p.m., Raptors Way will be closed to vehicular traffic at Lakeshore Avenue West
- vehicular traffic on Raptors Way by Maple Leafs Square will also be restricted at this time,
- local residents will have access to underground parking
- as of Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 12 p.m., Raptors Way and York Street will be closed to vehicular traffic
Please note there are no planned events for before or after the game. Any event that may take place is not authorized, nor approved, by the Toronto Police Service or Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
Members of the public are encouraged to take public transit or other carpool options.
The public may also notice enhanced security measures in the surrounding area, including an increased police presence and/or the use of other public and private sector resources.
While there is no imminent threat at this time, security issues are closely monitored and changes will be implemented as required.
