The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in an assault investigation.

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at approximately 3:20 p.m., a crossing guard was working at the intersection of Queen Street East and Boulton Avenue.

It is reported that:

- the crossing guard was approached by an unknown man

- the man engaged in conversation and then made a derogatory comment to the crossing guard

- the man then assaulted the crossing guard and walked away

The man is described as 30 to 40 years old, 6'0", 175 lbs., short brown hair that was combed to the side, and had a short beard. He was wearing sunglasses, a dark grey ¾ length jacket, a black shirt, black pants, white and black runners, and was holding a plastic bag.
