Firearm and thousands of dollars in cash seized following traffic stop,
Four men and one woman arrested

The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of multiple arrests and the recovery of a firearm.

On Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 9 p.m., police were on general patrol and observed a 2005 grey Nissan Xterra vehicle with a Quebec licence plate by a gas station in the Eglinton Avenue East and Brimley Road area.

It is alleged that:

- the Quebec licence plate was not issued to that vehicle

- during the investigation officers observed open containers of liquor and marijuana

- the vehicle had five occupants

- a Glock handgun, containing a high capacity magazine with 27 rounds, and a bag with approximately $12,000 was seized

On Sunday, October 31, 2021, Alyssa Berry, 18, Ilirjon Bajraktari, 19, Enton Grespa, 18, all from Toronto, were arrested. They are charged with:

1. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
3. Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
5. two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm
6. Possess Unloaded Regulated Firearm
7. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime Outside Canada

On Sunday, October 31, 2021, Maxim Shraibman, 21, Toronto, was also arrested. He is charged with:

1. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
3. Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
5. two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm
6. Possess Unloaded Regulated Firearm
7. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime Outside Canada
8. Have Care and Control of Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available LLA

On Sunday, October 31, 2021, Kaziya St Louis, 18, of York Region, was also arrested. He is charged with:

1. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
3. Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
5. two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm
6. Possess Unloaded Regulated Firearm
7. Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime Outside Canada
8. two counts of Fail to Comply Release Order

They all appeared in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 10 am.
