Man charged in historical Sexual Assault investigations,
Arasakumar Saveremuthu, 70, facing thirteen charges,
Police concerned there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to historical sexual assaults.

It is alleged that:

- between 1994 and 1996 a man befriended children within his social circle

- the man sexually assaulted girls between the ages of nine and fourteen in the Scarborough area


On Thursday, October 28, 2021, Arasakumar Saveremuthu, 70, of Oshawa, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. six counts of Sexual Assault
2. five counts of Sexual Interference
3. two counts of Invitation to Sexual Touching

He appeared in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Investigators are concerned there may be other victims.
