On Saturday, November 13, 2021, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., at various locations across ten different police divisions, members of the Toronto Police Service, including Neighbourhood Community Officers, will be partnering with Humaniti for World Kindness Day.

Through its Share A Meal project, Humaniti has sourced 2,000 hot meals from three of its restaurant partners. The meals will be distributed to community agencies and organizations by Neighbourhood Community Officers and Humaniti volunteers throughout the day.

Deputy Chief of Police Peter Yuen, Community Safety Command, will be visiting at least five locations throughout the day to thank volunteers, engage with community members, and support the TPS members working to make this day possible.

"Almost four million people in Canada go to sleep hungry and this includes members of our own local neighbourhoods," said Deputy Yuen. "We are grateful for organizations like Humaniti and its Share A Meal project which helps us pass along this generosity to others."

"We are thrilled to partner with our friends at Toronto Police Service to provide smiles and hot meals to our neighbours on World Kindness Day," said M. Firaaz Azeez, Executive Director of Humaniti.

Photo opportunities and media availabilities with Deputy Yuen are available at the following locations. Please note, times are approximate.

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Flame Shawarma & Grill, located at the Malvern Town Centre. Deputy Yuen will then make stops at 50 Emphringham Drive and 3947 Lawrence Avenue East.
