Toronto Police Service traffic investigators are appealing for information after two pedestrian bridges were damaged by a tractor-trailer.
On Thursday, April 8, 2021, at approximately 5:27 a.m., officers responded to a call for a property damage collision in the Lakeshore Boulevard West and Remembrance Drive area.
It is reported that:
- between the hours of 5:25 a.m., and 5:30 a.m., a tractor-trailer carrying a yellow and white crane was travelling west bound on Lakeshore Boulevard West
- it struck two pedestrian bridges before fleeing the scene
- there was extensive damage to the bridges and debris was scattered over the road in the west bound lanes
An image of the vehicle believed to be involved has been released. Anyone who recognizes it is urged to contact police.
Officers are also asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
