The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in multiple commercial Break and Enter investigations.
It is alleged that:
- between Wednesday, May 19, 2021 and Thursday, May 27, 2021, a man broke into nine commercial establishments in the Church and Wellesley and Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street areas of downtown Toronto
On Thursday, May 27, 2021, officers responded to call for a Break and Enter in the Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street area
Mathieu Blaquiere, 36, of Toronto, was arrested a short distance away and charged with:
1. nine counts of Break and Enter Commit
2. Fail to Comply Probation Order
2. Fail to Comply Release Order
He appeared in court virtually at College Park on Friday, May 28, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., in room 507.
The Toronto Police would like to thank the public for assisting police in locating the man, which resulted in the arrest, and helping to prevent further potential break and enters within the downtown core.
