The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- on Thursday, May 20, 2021, a 6-year-old boy attended Walter Saunders Park located at 426 Hopewell Avenue
- he was sexually assaulted while in the park
Members of the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre began an investigation.
On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, Ruby Eby, 33, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1. Sexual Interference with a Person Under the age of 16
2. Sexual Assault
She is next scheduled to appear in court, at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 2 p.m., in room 301.
Investigators believe there may be other victims.

investigators from the Toronto Police Service, in collaboration with members of the Catholic Children's Aid Society, the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, the Hospital for Sick Children's Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program (SCAN), Radius Child & Youth Services, and Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.
