The Toronto Police Service is seeking assistance from the public to identify a man in an assault with a weapon investigation.

On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at approximately 2 p.m., police attended a call for an unknown trouble at the Ossington Subway Station.

It is reported that:

- a man was in the subway station

- the man approached three different people with a butane lighter and tried to light their clothes on fire

- one person sustained minor injuries as a result of the man's actions

The man is described as being in his 20s, with a thin build. He was wearing a purple T-shirt with black sleeves, black jeans, black trucker-style baseball hat with a white design on the front, and black and white shoes. He was carrying a grey sweater and a grey backpack with orange stitching.
