The Toronto Police Service is alerting the public to a sexual assault investigation.

On Monday, July 19, 2021, at 1:40 a.m., officers began an investigation into a suspicious incident in the Broadview Avenue and Mountstephen Street area.

It is reported that:

- a 21-year-old woman was walking in the area

- she was approached from behind by an unknown man

- he pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her

- he then fled eastbound through a laneway

The man is described as 5'10" - 6'0", with dark almond shaped eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, black slim fitted jeans, black running shoes, a dark blue mask, and silver square shaped earing.
